Continued Strong Demand
The Twin Cities campus Fall 2022 freshman class of 6,737 students is the second largest freshman class in over a half century, down slightly from the largest freshman class in 2021.

93% student career success outcomes rate
Where a student initially lands post-graduation is an early indicator of a successful student outcome. Across multiple examinations of a student's employment after graduation, University of Minnesota alumni continue to have highly successful first-destination outcomes, positioning them well for further success.
Systemwide, the career success outcomes rate for undergraduate students of the University of Minnesota rose from 90% for the class of 2020 to 93% for the class of 2021, nearly 10% above the national average of 84%.

Record-high graduation rates
The Twin Cities campus continues to set record-high four-year graduation rates, as it has done every year for more than 25 years. The rate rose from 74.3% in 2021 (Fall 2017 cohort) to 75.3% in 2022 (Fall 2018 cohort).
For the latest available entry year for nationwide comparison (Fall 2015), the Twin Cities campus has the single greatest improvement in four-year graduation rates among all U.S. doctorate-granting institutions over the past 24 years.
