Planning Workgroup and Issue Teams

The development of the strategic plan for the Twin Cities campus was led by a Strategic Planning Workgroup chaired by Provost Karen Hanson. It included 30 faculty members, students, and staff selected from over 500 nominations.

In the first phase of its work, beginning fall 2013, the workgroup developed a planning framework including foundational principles, a strategic vision, and goals. In the second phase, beginning spring 2014, workgroup members led extended "issue teams" of faculty, staff, and students--five 25-30-member issue teams, drawn broadly from across the campus, chargned with "building out" the plan by mapping issues and action steps for each goal.
